Corporate Social Responsibility
CSR is a working methodology adopted by companies in doing business, whereby they integrate responsibility (ethical and responsible business practices) in all of its administrative, commercial and operational (internal and external), including the way in which companies highlights their vision and mission in the market and to the community: |
| |
Externally (to the community): this is done through the way companies position themselves as being good corporate citizenship, committed to supporting the community in which they operate, and work to reduce pollution and address any negative environmental impacts that may result from their operations. |
Internally (within the company): this is the way in which companies manage their internal administrative operations, which include their human resources, customer relations, marketing and advertising, executive management and its relations with investors and partners. |
| |
Sustainable Development:
The term "Sustainable Development" is internationally recognized to mean "meeting the needs of current generations to use natural resources without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs of these resources". |
